Celebrating the Brisbane Lions' 2024 Premiership

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Chris Fagan and his Brisbane Lions won the respect of the footy world with a commanding 60-point victory over the Sydney Swans in the AFL Grand Final, breaking a 21-year premiership drought.

With just two wins from their first seven games of the season, numerous season-ending knee injuries to key players, a finishing position outside the top four and a 44-point deficit in the semi-final, 2024 was a year in which all hope seemed lost on numerous occasions.

Just how the Lions managed to turn things around and end up victorious on the last Saturday in September is now one of the greatest Australian sporting stories.
