Celebrated Australian tenor Mark Vincent will conclude a milestone year in his 15 year career, by performing for the first time with the Australian Symphony Orchestra in his annual hometown Christmas Extravaganza concert. Enhancing this celebratory occasion, Mark will be joined by special guest, mezzo-soprano Silvia Colloca.
Taking place the night after his appearance on the Carols In The Domain stage, this promises to be a magical night of entertainment for the whole family, with a stirring mix of Christmas classics as well as hits from Mark’s personal playlist.
Expect traditional hymns such as ‘O’ Holy Night’, ‘Holy City’ and ‘Hark The Herald’ along with ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Little Drummer Boy’. And no Mark Vincent concert would be complete without his stunning renditions of ‘Nessun Dorma’, ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘The Prayer’, to name a few!
Appearing on Mark’s new album titled Life Is Beautiful Silvia Colloca will join Mark in a duet of the beloved Moulin Rouge hit, ‘Come What May’.
In addition, the audience will be treated to Mark’s very first orchestra-backed live performance of his latest single, Se Ami La Vita (Life Is Beautiful), which debuted at No. 1 on the Apple Music Classical Charts.
This glorious and heartfelt track, sung in Italian, was written by renowned composer Pierpaolo Guerrini, a long-time collaborator of the legendary Andrea Bocelli. It marks a significant milestone in Mark’s career as his first original song. The journey of this track from conception to release is a story of serendipity and shared passion for music. Originally penned for Maestro Bocelli himself, the song found its way to Mark during a studio session with Pierpaolo Guerrini. Upon hearing Mark’s rendition, Pierpaolo was so moved that he offered the song to him, subject to Bocelli’s blessing.
Audiences are invited to witness his musical evolution and celebrate the crescendo of his career.
