Boy & Bear are the perfect soundtrack to a summer evening—brooding, triumphant, and absolutely captivating, making them ideal for the Twilight at Taronga stage! One of Australia’s most beloved indie-folk bands, Boy & Bear are adored for their lush harmonies, soulful song writing, and heart-filling live performances. The Sydney band’s stunning2011 debut album Moon fire earned them five ARIA Awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year. With transcendent five-part harmonies and a perfect blend of folk, rock, and pop, hits like “Feeding Line” and “Part Time Believer” quickly established them as rising stars in Australia’s music scene. The band has continued to evolve with each release, from the 70s rock and soul-inspired Harlequin Dream to the deeply emotional Suck on Light, which captures their folk roots while pushing into richly layered rock experimentation. Boy & Bear’s music strikes a fine balance between melancholy and magic, delivering bright guitars, driving rhythms, and Dave Hosking’s soulful vocals that play your heartstrings like a long-lost friend. With five consecutive top 10 albums and over 250 million streams, Boy & Bear’s live shows have earned them a glowing reputation as one of Australia’s most outstanding live acts. Their recent tour celebrating the anniversary of Harlequin Dream has received rave reviews, reaffirming their place as a must-see band. Opening for Boy & Bear is Sydney based singer-songwriter Haley Holgate. Listening to Holgate's music is like reading her diary. Featuring clean-cut lyricism and commanding melodies, she reflects on life’s pitfalls and turns them into warm worlds of sound. The heart-on-her-sleeve, confessional writer leaves nothing off the table, and uses the help of acoustic guitars, dreamy synths and drum lines to hit you where it hurts.

Chillazy Chair

  • The Chillazy chair is a specially created low-level chair, to allow comfort during picnic-style events and concerts. Chillazy chairs are available for purchase as an add-on to your ticket, or can be hired on the evening at the event. Limited amount of Chillazy chairs will be available for hire on the evening and a $20 bond will be required upon hire of chair, and returned upon return of the chair.

Picnic Blanket

  • Picnic blanket is available to be purchased for the evening. Picnic rugs are 150cm x 180cm and can could sit 4 people comfortably.

Same Day Zoo Entry

  • Enjoy a day at the Zoo before your concert at a special discounted rate! This ticket is valid for the same day as your concert ticket only and is not transferrable to another day. Please note, Twilight ticket holders will need to exit the Zoo at 5.00pm when the Zoo closes, and enter at 6.00pm when gates re-open for the Concert

By purchasing the Twilight at Taronga Retreat package you can choose the best seats in the house with escorted Early Access to the Concert Lawns and there’s no need to worry about getting home and after the concert, your room is just a short walk through the Zoo away. The Wildlife Retreat at Taronga is a luxurious eco-Retreat, nestled in the heart of Taronga Zoo with thoughtfully designed rooms with views of native animals and bushland.

Package inclusions are for Two Adults in a single room with either 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds:

  • Escorted early access to the Concert Lawns to secure the best position
  • Overnight stay in luxury accommodation for two adults
    • Late Check-out (12:00pm)
  • Buffet Breakfast at Me-Gal restaurant for two adults
  • Complimentary 2 day parking
  • 2 day complimentary entry into the Zoo

Please note:

  • If you have 2 Adults sharing one room, you only need to book 1 package.
  • This package does not include your Twilight concert ticket. This package can only be purchased as an add on to your concert ticket

Unreserved tickets include entry into Twilight at Taronga from 6pm. This ticket does not include access to Taronga Zoo Sydney before 6pm.

Children under 4 years are free into Twilight at Taronga, excluding Lil Twilight concerts.

Taronga Zoo is a fully licensed event and BYO alcohol and glass is not permitted. Bag checks will be conducted on entry and all alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages in un-sealed containers (including glass, cans or hard plastics) will be confiscated.

Free water refill stations are also available on site, so bring your empty reusable water bottles, no glass permitted! Please ensure your reusable water bottles are emptied before entering through the security checkpoint.
