Morning Melodies - Golden Days of Bandstand Tickets

Australia’s longest running TV pop show ran for 15 years on channel nine and was beamed into two million Australian loungerooms every week. Hosted by the mild mannered Brian Henderson it featured regular Australian singers who became known as the Bandstand Family.

The show popularised the upcoming stars of the day such as Col Joye, Little Patti , Bryan Davies, Judy Stone, The Seekers, Johnny Farnham, and the young Bee Gees to name a few.
As the program grew in popularity the audience was introduced by video and sometimes live to many overseas stars such as Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Tom Jones, Hermans Hermits, Roy Orbison and Chubby Checker.

While other pop shows presented screaming fans and long haired beat groups, Bandstand somehow seemed to ignore the extreme trends in music that happened in the mid and late 60’s.
Although it showcased a range of pop performers, it shied away from the brash and scruffy, becoming a more family orientated programme than a show strictly for teenagers. Each show featured the bandstand Ballet who kept the audience up to date with the latest dance trends from around the world.

The Golden days of Bandstand is hosted by Eddie Daniels and Suzie Lee whose careers have spanned decades in the Australian music industry. Eddie has been acclaimed a master performer, with a 3 octave range that allows him to sing a wide variety of material and a gift of easy audience communication that captures his audience as soon as he steps on stage. Suzie originally starred in Legends in Concert and has worked alongside Eddie for many years – they know each other so well that there are many opportunities for comedic banter and on stage fun.
